Is it good ti stay? Definitely YES!
We took Grab Car from Kuala Lumpur to Dutch Square and walked the rest of the way. Stayed here for 1 night with my partner in a special room with Jaccuzi. TV, WiFi and safe worked fine. The bathroom looked out onto an inner courtyard, with the shower separate from the toilet, sink, fridge and safe. It has cilling room at outside perfectly for chill out after tired exploring Melacca. The Jacuzzi is outside as well but just the next to toilet. Everything is perfect. About the bathroom, you had to switch the water heater on but there was plenty of hot water and the shower was good. Bathroom needs to be renovated and cleaned up as the jacuzzi got leaking.
Beds were comfortable. We did have a few mosquitoes though. The lobby area was lovely and cool and there was cold water to drink. The Baba and Nyonya Heritage Museum is down the road, and in the parallel road Jalan Hang Jebat there are a lot of restaurants.
Breakfast was served across the road, you had to walk through a shop selling nyonya attire. Breakfast itself was quite simple, with sandwiches, cereal, eggs, and rice or noodles. Very friendly service. To go back to the bus station we walked to the end of Heeren Street and crossed the road and got on the bus at Jalan Kubu. But using Grab car to get Bus station coule be best option.
